Clean the Supermarket Getting Started — First Session Guide

Session Setup (5 Minutes)

Launch Clean the Supermarket! on Roblox. Before touching a single product, complete setup: like the game on the Roblox page, join the Tidyverse developer group, and redeem any active codes through the in-game codes menu. Bonus currency funds your first upgrade purchases within the first fifteen minutes.

Open the Controls guide for your platform. PC players need E and left-click muscle memory; console players need RT; mobile players need the interact button location. Spend two minutes picking up and dropping a test item near spawn before starting real sorting.

Step 1: Learn the Pick-Up Loop

Walk to the produce section near the store entrance—the first department on the store map. You will see loose fruits and vegetables on the floor and gaps on shelf rows. Approach a loose apple or banana and interact to pick it up. Your character holds the item in a carry stack visible above your head.

Walk to the produce shelf row with empty slots for that item type. Interact again to place it. Matching products must sit on the same row—do not split apples across two tiers. If you grab the wrong item, press drop (F on PC, B/O on console, drop button on mobile) and try again.

Step 2: Clear Produce

Systematically scan produce aisles (Aisles 1–2). Pick up every loose item before walking anywhere— with base carry you hold one item at a time, so each product is a round trip until you buy upgrades. Produce models are easy to identify: apples look like apples, lettuce like lettuce. Use the Item Lookup tool only if you encounter an unfamiliar item.

Watch for shelf row completion indicators. When every slot in a row holds the correct product, that section counts toward department progress. Move to the next row rather than leaving partial completion that triggers premature aisle stretching.

Step 3: Buy First Upgrades

After clearing several produce rows, visit the upgrade shop with earned currency. Purchase carry capacity tier one first, then movement speed tier one if affordable—the Early Game Build and Upgrade Order explain why. Return to produce with your new carry slot and batch two items per trip. The speed difference becomes obvious crossing from entrance to back aisles later.

Step 4: Clear Bakery

Move to bakery (Aisles 2–3) adjacent to produce. Bread loaves, bagels, and muffins have distinctive shapes unlike snack boxes in center aisles. Apply the same scan-pickup-deliver loop. With carry tier one, batch two bakery items per walk.

Bakery completes your tutorial zone. You now understand department boundaries, shelf grouping rules, and upgrade shop basics. Do not proceed to snacks until bakery shows strong completion progress—rushing into visually similar packaging too early causes frustrating mis-sorts.

Step 5: First Snacks Preview (Optional)

If time remains in your first session, peek at snacks aisles (4–6) to see increased difficulty—multiple chip flavors with similar bags. Pick up one or two items using the lookup tool for identification practice. If carry tier two is affordable, buy it before deep-snacks commitment. Otherwise stop here and continue snacks in session two.

First Session Checklist

What Comes Next
