How the Upgrades Shop Works

The Upgrades Shop in Clean the Supermarket! sells permanent improvements to your sorting capabilities. You earn currency by completing shelf rows, restoring departments, and hitting milestone bonuses. Redeeming codes after liking the game and joining the Tidyverse group provides supplementary income for early purchases. Upgrades persist for your save file unless you trigger Wipe Save—see How to Protect Save.

Carry Capacity

Carry capacity upgrades let you hold additional items in your vertical stack. Each tier adds one or more slots depending on the game's current balance. This is the single highest-impact early purchase because it directly reduces trips per aisle. With base capacity, you might shelve one product per walk from the mess pile to the correct department. With upgraded capacity, you batch three or four matching items and clear a row in one delivery.

Movement Speed

Movement speed upgrades shorten travel time between departments—critical once stretching shelves extend aisle length. Buy speed after your first carry tier or alongside it if currency allows. The time saved crossing from produce to frozen compounds over hundreds of sorting actions, making speed upgrades pay for themselves quickly.

Auto-Shelve and Advanced Abilities

Auto-Shelve and similar automation upgrades assist with placement when you are standing at the correct shelf row. They do not replace knowing item categories—you still must walk to the right aisle.
